Crocodile Bay Resort – Our Boats Your Desires

Crocodile Bay Resort is situated comfortably on the blue waters of the Golfo Dulce. We are known as an activity-based destination with the largest private fleet of boats in all of Central America, a fleet that includes 24 and 25 foot Boston Whaler Outrages and 33 and 35 foot Strike Tower boats, that are easily accessible from our 800-foot private pier. This means that you will have the opportunity to explore places on the water where no one else can take you. Just take a short walk down to our pier and off you go on an ocean safari of your choosing.

The Golfo Dulce is rich with volcanic reefs, crevices and caves that have become breeding grounds for a staggering variety of marine life. It is also here that you will find one of only four tropical fjords in the world. The gulf is where humpback whales from both the northern and southern hemispheres gather to breed and teach their calves to swim, a true phenomenon!

While we have many motorized options to get out and see our incredible list of aquatic neighbors in our gulf tour by boat, one of our favorite ways to view them in their natural habitat is on the water by kayak. Regardless of which direction you choose to go after leaving our pier, you will be literally surrounded by these friendly creatures of the deep such as dolphins, turtles, whale sharks and humpback whales. With the only sounds you hear being the gentle sound of the paddles cutting through the water and the sound of the sea birds, this is without a doubt one of the most relaxing ways to insert yourself back into nature.

For those who wish to actually visit the vividly colored sea life on their own level, we have many different snorkeling locations with coral reefs within the clear turquoise water, great for underwater photography as well as for helping to indoctrinate the youth of today into being the underwater nature enthusiasts of tomorrow! For those who simply don’t want to have to come back to the surface until absolutely necessary, we have an amazing location for scuba diving from Drake’s Bay!!

After viewing the speed, power and agility in which the super pods of dolphins manipulate their aquatic environment, it is not uncommon for our guests to take some time to harness the power of the ocean simply for fun while on a surfboard. There are several surf breaks within a short drive that range in strength from those that beginners love to learn on, to more powerful ones that will raise the heart rate and excitement level of even the most experienced surfer, and the one thing that all of these breaks have in common is, they are all uncrowded! For any of our guests that actually have a surfing related bucket list, we have Pavones Beach, which is the second longest left hand wave in the world just a quick 30 minute boat ride away.

No other resort on the Osa Peninsula can offer you a more complete range of water adventures on both the Pacific Ocean and the Golfo Dulce. Our boats your desires!
