“Olimpia – Our Mother, Nuestra Madre” here at Crocodile Bay Resort

Olimpia Ofelia Rhoden Branker (her nickname is “Oli”) is an icon here at Crocodile Bay Resort. Olimpia learned to be a professional licensed dietitian (nutritionist), but here at Crocodile Bay Resort, she is the main hostess and head of client services. She’s been with the resort for 11 years now (since 2008) and has worked for over 25 years in sportfishing resorts and hotels. She’s originally from Panama and now lives and works here at Crocodile Bay together with her Costa Rican husband of 25 years Enrique, who is also one of our chefs, and her son Anthony who is a fishing captain.

Olimpia welcomes our guests upon arrival at the resort and makes sure everyone is happy and well taken care of. She believes in sharing good feelings and love with those that surround her so often she will sing to our guests – she writes her own original songs, which are inspired by the surrounding nature, animals, fishing, and the guests themselves! If you’re lucky you’ll hear one of her beautiful melodies during dinnertime, or right at the front desk upon arrival. If you are very, very lucky she will share one of her award winning hugs with you. She also helps to organize any special activity for our guests, such as weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries.

As Olimpia puts it herself: “Whatever I do, I do with love”… which is one of the reasons that both clients as well as fellow employees enjoy the warm, family type energy that flows while at Crocodile Bay Resort.
