Daily appointments are available between
the hours of: 9:00 am to 8:15 pm. Appointments must be made
at least 30 minutes in advance. Please arrive prior to your

As
April comes and goes, the end of the dry season has begun.
It is really amazing to see how quickly everything becomes
even greener than it normally is. Here on the Osa Peninsula
it is always stunningly beautiful, but this time of year
the trees are blooming and many plants are showing off their
new growth. Cashew fruit & almonds attract the Scarlet
Macaws and other parrots. The flowers on the Banana trees
entice the hummingbirds.
At the Spa at Crocodile Bay, we know the
importance of using natural products in our Spa Menu, we
offer several treatments specifically designed to replenish
& rejuvenate your skin. One of the natural treatments
that we offer is “Volcanic Clay Body Wrap with Banana
Leaves” The soothing effects of volcanic clay mixed
with water extracted from Ylang-Ylang flowers is gently
applied to your body then covered with banana leaves to
promote absorption of these enriching properties. An aloe
vera facial mask is applied while resting in this serene
cocoon.

Here
at the Spa at Crocodile Bay we offer a wide selection of
treatments. Facials, Masks, Scrubs, Wraps and various types
of Massages. A common question from clients first visiting
the Spa is “What treatment should I start out with?”.
My suggestion is that the best treatment to try first would
be the Croc Bay Special. Why? Well first let me describe
it to you, then I’ll explain my reason for choosing
this particular treatment.
CROC
BAY SPECIAL
A total body corporal exfoliation formulated with special
marine salt, botanical ingredients and rich minerals. This
treatment stimulates the circulation, detoxifies, activates
and re-mineralizes the skin leaving it silky smooth and
moisturized. It is the ideal remedy to aid in the reduction
of cellulite and water retention and also prepares the skin
for better absorption of the products used in further treatments.
This is followed by a Swedish massage to release the tension
accumulated from daily activities. Other benefits are increased
blood circulation, mental and physical relaxation, decreased
stress and muscle tension, and improved range of motion.
The treatment is finished up with a banana facial mask.
If your skin has been damaged by the winter weather or been
burned by the sun, the Banana Mask is the perfect remedy.

Tropical
Fruit Massage and Body Wrap, Vitamin Therapy for the Skin!
Extracts
of many tropical fruits provide nutrients beneficial to
our skin. For example: apricot assists in cellular regeneration;
coconut helps to firm the skin; peach is an effective topical
application used to reduce the effects of eczema; pear has
been known to help during acne outbreaks; pineapple has
been used in the fight against cellulite; melon is used
as a purifier; papaya is great for overall healing and extracts

The new season has started, the weather is beautiful
and it feels good to welcome our guests to the Spa. Whether
they are “first-timers” or some of our many
“regulars”, we enjoy sharing with them and helping
them to relax and release all the stress that everyone carries
around.
Speaking
of our returning guests, the other morning on my way into
the Spa, I was quite surprised to see a large Toucan perched
on the back of a chair on the front veranda! The Toucans
are almost always around up in the trees around the resort,
but they usually don’t make themselves quite so “at
home”.
This month, I’m going to highlight
one of our most enjoyed treatments, the Deluxe Hot Chocolate
Massage, so that you may begin to get a feel for what ways
we use ordinary items to create an extra-ordinary experience!

Hot Chocolate
Relax
and indulge yourself with a sweet, soft and warm application
of Chocolate all over your body. The cacao, rich in natural
antioxidants, (vitamin A & E) softens your skin and
makes it more elastic. Our exclusive formula of warm cocoa
revitalizes and nourishes the skin as it relaxes the body.
The body is then wrapped in plastic and a blanket to enhance
the total effect. A luxurious Hot Stones massage follows,
then finishing with a fondue application of chocolate oil.

Stones Massage
Hot stone therapy, an ancient practice originating thousands
of years ago, is a type of massage using specially heated
volcanic lava stones combined with swedish-style massage movements.
Heat from the stones helps to regulate blood flow and rid

exercise or any kind of physical activity.

All of our facials include manual extraction techniques
to deep clean the pores and remove impurities. Enjoy a hand,

Policy
We require 1-hour notification of changes or cancellations
of scheduled appointments. A cancellation fee of the
scheduled treatment will be charged for appointments cancelled
less than 1 hour prior to the appointment time or for noshows.
Eco / Spa Packages include $125 credits
per day towards either eco or spa activities. These credits
are cumulative but non transferable and expire at the end
