is also a veteran the Crocodile Bay Resort eco tour department,
having worked as tour driver for 3 years. Carlos spent his
youth in Buenos Aires and Palmar Norte facing the picturesque
Talamanca mountain range and bordering the Boruca Indigenous
Reserve. He worked with his uncles herding cattle and transporting
produce to the nation’s capital. Carlos moved to the
Osa Peninsula (where Crocodile Bay Resort is located) as a
teenager and has been living here for 22 years. Prior to working
at the resort, Carlos was driving for the “colectivo,”
an open-bed pick-up which operates as a make-shift jungle
taxi. The colectivo transports residents and tourists around
the cape of the Peninsula terminating at the southern end
of Corcovado National Park. This rugged trek complete with
ragging river crossings and landslides has gifted Carlos with
expert off-road driving skills and keen eyes for spotting
wildlife. Guests warm to his fun loving character and good
sense of humor.
